Preventive maintenance contracts for process equipment

The same seal replacement costs two very different things depending on when it arrives. Planned into a scheduled outage, it is an hour of labour and a part taken off the shelf. Found on a Thursday afternoon in the middle of a run, it is a stopped line, a part to be brought in and a crew standing around. The work is identical. The moment is what costs.

DRN Industriel runs the preventive maintenance programmes on this equipment, using original parts, and offers maintenance contracts covering the pumps, fans, mixers and complete packaged systems we carry.

Why a calendar interval gets it wrong

Two identical machines installed on the same day do not wear at the same rate. The one that starts forty times a day uses up its bearings far faster than the one running continuously, because most of the fatigue happens at start-up. The one handling a liquid carrying solids loses its clearances while the other keeps them. An interval set in months treats both the same way: it arrives too early on one and too late on the other.

What a maintenance contract covers

We start by recording the fleet: make, model, real duty and failure history for each machine. Intervals are then set machine by machine, on the observed regime rather than on a general rule. The matching wear parts are held in stock against your models, which removes the supply delay at the moment it costs most. At each visit the readings are compared with the previous ones, and the interval is corrected from what was actually observed.

What the programme actually changes

The gain is not that there is less work. It is that the work is known in advance. Measured wear turns into a date, a date into a planned outage, and a planned outage into a part already on the shelf. Maintenance stops choosing between repairing quickly and repairing properly.

Send us the list of your machines

Make, model, real duty and failure history for each machine. We come back with the intervals that suit them and the parts worth holding in stock.
